Genuine TVR complete AP twin plate clutch assembly. This includes both friction plates, clutch housing which incorporates the diaphragm spring and intermediate plate. We would suggest a clutch would typically last between 18-22 thousand miles and is of course very much dependent on driving style and clutch operation. It is important to note these symptoms of pending clutch failure A heavy clutch pedal - indicating diaphragm spring work hardening. Difficulty selecting gears - indicating clutch disengagement problems. In some cases diaphragm spring fingers can snap off and leave you with no clutch at all with little notice. Renewing the clutch involves removal of the gearbox and prop shaft and due to this involvement it is important to check condition of concentric clutch slave cylinder and release bearing. In most cases if the slave cylinder is leaking a seal kit acts only as a temporary remedy due to scoring generally found on the cylinder bore. A complete kit (TVR Q KITAJPSCYL)can be purchased in order to renew entire assembly and this often ends up being the most economic long-term solution. For early 4.2 V8 Cerbera this particular clutch assembly must replace the now obsolete former clutch assembly. This conversion requires the later 4.5 ltr V8 Flywheel (TVR E3569) and fitting kit (TVR Q KITAJPFIT), the Twin Plate Clutch Assembly (TVR Q0365), Slave Cylinder Kit (TVR Q KITAJPSCYL) and Clutch Release Bearing (TVR Q0107).
