Shorter exhaust valves made to very high specification. These high quality exhaust valves are identical to TVR E6051 RG but are 0.020" shorter to allow clearances to be maintained in cylinder heads where the valve seats have become worn preventing correct valve working clearance from being maintained. These exhaust valves are made from forged exhaust grade 214N Austinetic Stainless Steel and have a welded Stellite 6 seat to handle the aggressive environment. The valves are then plasma gas nitrided to give an exceptionally hard surface finish and reduce valve stem wear. The valve stems are sized at 7.00mm less clearance to keep valve weight down and reduce loads on the valve train. These are currently the only Stellite 6 seated exhaust valves for the TVR Speed 6 engine and as such are the highest quality exhaust valves available. The Stellite 6 seat on exhaust valves is an absolute requirement on the TVR Speed 6 engine as the valves that seem to recess into the cylinder head are invariably the exhaust. On dismantling it is invariably the fact that the seat area has eroded on the valve that causes the clearance to close up at the finger follower. The aggressive environment in the region of the exhaust valve and port warrants the Stellite 6 seat which, due to its hardness, prevents any errosion of the valve occuring.
