Ultra high performance MLS head gasket for the TVR Speed 6 engine. This is a very high performance multilayer steel cylinder head gasket for all TVR Speed 6 engines. This particular MLS gasket is 080" thick and is comprised of five layers of stainless steel. The outer layers are an embossed Viton coated stainless steel providing a superior seal with excellent rebound characteristics and are corrosive resistant. MLS head gaskets reduce bore distortion and withstand extreme cylinder pressures. These head gaskets have a 0.001" thick layer of viton on the stainless steel gasket which provides the sealing element against extreme combustion chamber pressures. There are no composite elements to these head gaskets. O-rings are not required with these head gaskets.This gasket is absolutely ideal for situations where too much material has been machined from the cylinder or deck faces and the compression ration is too high. Alternatively if the compression ratio needs to be lowered, for supercharging or turbo charging then this head gasket is a route to resolving this. This gasket is approximately 80 thou thick so is approximately 20 thou ( 0.5 mm ) thicker than a standard composite gasket.
