Racing Green TVR has been one of the foremost TVR main dealers for a number of years and has built up an exceptional reputation for its servicing and bodywork and TVR Speed 6 engine developments.
Racing Green TVR is home to the highly regarded Finger Follower Free TVR Speed 6 engine. Following on from a significant study of the TVR Speed 6 engine Racing Green TVR designed and developed a new cylinder head to resolve many of the problems associated with this engine. The new and exclusive design removes the 24 finger followers entirely from the engine and all associated failures and faults disappear as well. The new design utilises an inverted cam bucket design for the follower and engines using the new cylinder head run significantly quieter and smoother than the original design. Further developments to this design have ensured that valve train losses are further minimised while increasing available power. This engine design is simply the best approach to the TVR Speed 6 engine and all customers of the FFF engine have been massively impressed with the sheer driveability, smoothness and reduced noise of the Speed 6 engine in this form. Not to mention the virtual removal of any valve clearance changes between services!! Don’t take our word for this but talk to any of the many owners out there not worrying about finger followers because they don’t have any!!
What is less well known about is the extensive range of TVR parts currently stocked by Racing Green TVR. Having built up a large parts inventory since becoming a main dealer in 2002 Racing Green TVR increased this stock significantly with the purchase of Gatwick TVR’s entire parts stock following their sad demise. Racing Green TVR now carry some 2500 lines of TVR parts with a stock value approaching £250k.
With the recent positive announcement that Multipart have been contracted to supply TVR parts to the dealers the supply of TVR parts has been secured and recent hard to get parts are already being sourced. Multipart bring strong financial and logistical resources to the supply of TVR parts and Racing Green TVR now receive VOR and stock orders from Multiparts main warehouse in Chorley.
The TVR Shop website has been created to give our customers an extensive listing of TVR parts carried by Racing Green TVR to allow them to easily purchase parts online and understand the range of parts available to them through Racing Green. We have tried to give a reasonable level of detail to allow customers to purchase their parts in confidence.
With all the in house facilities you would expect from a main dealer Racing Green TVR are fully capable of fitting all these parts and maintaining and servicing TVRs to the highest of standards.
Racing Green TVR are now able to offer full rebuilds to the Speed 6 engine. Having been building race engines for many years Racing Green has extensive knowledge of straight 6 engines and their rebuilt TVR Speed 6 engine benefits from a number of modifications some of which were developed for the extremely tough F1 environment.
